Our Services
We meet each Sunday at 9:45 am for Sunday School and at 10:45 am for Worship. Our services include blended worship music and expository sermons.
A Brief History
Our church was formed in February 1954 to provide a worship experience for people from various Protestant Church backgrounds. It was initially housed in a building owned by the Llano Christian Church and grew as not only a place of worship, but as a place for community activities.
The first permanent building owned by the Church, on its present site, was built in 1957 as a gift from the Barrow family. The Church was chartered and incorporated in 1961. Major expansions were completed in 1965 and 1985.
We are not affiliated with any denomination; however, the Pastor to serve the Church is selected from one of the major Protestant denominations and is encouraged to maintain a personal working relationship with them.
Members of the Church come from various denominational backgrounds and our Church seeks to maintain the high Christian purpose and standards of those various denominations.
The multi-denominational diversity has continued over the years and the Community Church served as a logical place of worship for Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Christians, Independents, and others, some of whom had no local churches for their particular denomination.
The multi-denominational heritage continues to provide an atmosphere of worship where all feel welcome and comfortable.
The Kingsland Community Church is a non-profit, religious organization and is recognized as such by both the Federal and State government. We are congregationally governed and the work of the Church is carried out by a Pastor, an Official Board and numerous ministries.
